Regulus watched the exchange, a knot forming in his stomach. He knew Bellatrix’s passion forviolence bordered on fanaticism, and while it could be useful, it also made her unpredictable. “MyLord,” he interjected, finding his voice despite the apprehension. “Perhaps it would be wiser to havemore support on the raid. The Order is becoming more vigilant. We can’t afford any mistakes.”
Voldemort regarded Regulus for a long moment, as if measuring his loyalty against his willingness tochallenge Bellatrix. “You’re protective of her,” he mused, an amused glint in his eye. “How noble. Butthe decisions in this war are mine to make. Your duty is to follow, not to question.”
